Our agency charges a $1,500 placement fee for finding, screening, and matching your family with a qualified nanny who fits your specific needs.
How the Payment Works
The $1,500 fee is deducted from your final payment — the last payment in the placement process.
This means you do not pay the placement fee upfront.
The fee will be subtracted from your final invoice right before the nanny is officially hired.
Final Payment Amount
The total final payment amount is discussed individually with each family after interviews have taken place.
This is because every family’s needs are different, including schedule, number of children, experience level required, and additional responsibilities.
After interviews are completed, the agency will provide a customized final payment breakdown and subtract the $1,500 placement fee from that amount.
1. Overview
At Family Niche we are committed to providing families with qualified, caring, and professional nannies. Our refund policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for placement or agency fees.
2. Non-Refundable Fees
Application/Registration Fees are non-refundable once services begin, as they cover administrative costs, background checks, and candidate sourcing.
Interview or Trial Fees paid directly to nannies are also non-refundable.
3. Placement Fee Refunds
If a permanent nanny placement does not work out, the following refund or replacement terms apply:
If the nanny leaves within 30 days, a free replacement will be provided or a partial refund (up to 50%) may be issued at the agency’s discretion.
If the nanny leaves after 30 days but within 60 days, a replacement search will be initiated at no extra cost (no monetary refund).
After 60 days, no refund or replacement is available.
4. Cancellation Before Placement
If a family cancels their request:
Before nanny interviews begin: Full refund minus $150 processing fee.
After interviews begin but before placement: 50% refund of the placement fee.
After a nanny is officially hired: No refund.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days to the original payment method.
6. Exceptions
Refunds will not be issued if:
The family terminates a nanny for reasons outside the nanny’s control (schedule change, relocation, etc.).
The family fails to comply with agreed payment or contract terms.
The nanny is let go without documented cause or notice.
